Discover DynamiX Theatre Company
~ Inspire The Future With Today~

The Laramie Project
The Laramie Project was a play performed by members of the Tectonic Theatre Company, released in the year 2000. It is a reaction to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard - a gay, university of Wyoming student. The play is set in Laramie, Wyoming and uses verbatim techniques to emphasise the presence of homophobia in Laramie at the time - a huge issue still present around the world to date.
Discover DynamiX Theatre will be performing the original story on the 10th and 11th of March 2022, which will be followed by ‘The Laramie Project 10 years later’ (performed by another Miskin company) on the 22nd - 26th March!
We as a company are inspired to tell the important story of Matthew Shepard, in the hopes to spread educational messages, as well as bringing awareness to homophobia and the horrific acts of violence and hate that occur because of it. We would be incredibly grateful if you can bring yourself, friends and family to come and watch our show, and hear this incredibly important, and real, story.

Meet our fantastic tech team who work hard to enable the show to have lighting, costume, props, help with our quick changes and overall run the show. These aspects are really important when it comes to a performance as it sets the location, emotion and atmosphere.
As a company, we were very excited to incorporate these aspects after weeks of rehearsals and blocking. Seeing the lighting, screen presentations and final costume decisions fuelled our excitement to tell this really important story.
